Over the coming months we will be offering a comprehensive and inclusive Police Patrol K9 Seminar Series of seminars for handlers with dual purpose or patrol dogs. This seminar series is designed to bring your patrol dog the the next level, improving every aspect of the patrol k9 teams performance. Offered in individual seminars, handlers can attend seminars individually, choosing the seminar(s) that they want to learn from or you can choose to attend the entire series at a savings of $150!
K9 Decoy Seminar – October 14-16, 2014
The seminar series will start off in October, 2014 offering a K9 Decoy Seminar that will last 3 days. This seminar will cover a variety of topics including proper decoy techniques as well as how to improve on targeting, grip and channeling the patrol dog. The K9 Decoy seminar will be offered October 14-16, 2014 for $129. This is a working seminar and handlers should bring their dog.
K9 Management – December 11, 2014
Our K9 Management and Supervision Seminar will follow taking place on December 11, 2014. This one day seminar will cover a variety of topics from proper deployment, policy, case law and FLSA issues. The cost of the Supervision and Management Seminar is $59 per person. Dogs are not required for this course as this seminar will be conducted in our classroom.
Tactical Obedience Seminar – January 27-29, 2015
[ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]Our Tactical Obedience Seminar is another practical seminar that will start with a short classroom section and then quickly get underway with the working portion of the instruction. Handlers are encouraged to bring their dog to work with during the seminar. This seminar will take you through all of the successive approximations to effectively teach your patrol dog tactical obedience. Tactical Obedience will allow you to move and operate more safely and efficiently during high risk operations. The cost of our 3-day Tactical Obedience Seminar is $129 per team.[/ezcol_1half_end]
Patrol K9 Problem Solving Seminar – February 24-26, 2015
Fine tuning your police k9 patrol dog starts taking place in our Patrol K9 Problem Solving seminar that starts on February 24-26, 2015. This seminar covers a variety of topics including establishing a reliable “out” command, working with arrest teams, ground fighting and felony vehicle stops. Building searches and passive suspect bites are also addressed during this seminar. The cost for the 3-day Police K9 Problem Solving Seminar is $129 and handlers are invited to bring their dogs as this will be a hands-on seminar covering a variety of real-life training scenarios.
E-collar Techniques Seminar – March 24-26, 2015
Finishing up our Patrol K9 seminar series, is our E-collar techniques and application seminar consisting of 3 days of lecture and practical, hands-on training with the remote training collar. Patrol teams can benefit greatly from the communication and control that is afforded by the proper application of the e-collar. This seminar will teach you a variety of approaches for working with your Patrol K9 to establish effective communication. The seminar also teaches how to employ the e-collar using a variety of training methodologies as well as how to apply the collar in field situations. The cost of the 3-day E-collar seminar is $129
